Nothing like a good writing moment–that sweet, blissful (ever so fleeting) second where you get in a REALLY good sentence…nothing feels as good as linking Protestant fighting, potato famines, and cereal.
Okay, so it’s way funnier in context and maybe it’ll hit the chopping block come revision time, but right now, it’s funny as hell, and I’m well pleased.
