Hey, I’m a writer and I know how bloody hard it is to introduce scenery in a story.  It’s brutal.  You try to be subtle and there are times when we writers have all the subtlety of a roaring chainsaw.

So, I’ll forgive the fact the heroine in EVERY SINGLE BOOK of the five-book series walks into a room, DEAD STOPS, and describes the setting.

What I won’t forgive is the author going on about the œwoven tapestry rugs and œvelvet curtains for THREE FREAKIN’ PAGES.

God save me.

Please.

No one needs 750 words of room description.
